Jennifer A. Balog, MHA, CFRE, CAP
Executive Director
Jennifer A. Balog, MHA, CFRE, CAP, is a seasoned philanthropy professional with over 15 years of experience in development and fundraising, driving transformational impact for healthcare and nonprofit organizations. She has led advancement efforts for national organizations, including the American Red Cross, United Way, and the American Heart Association. In the healthcare sector, she has served as Foundation Director at Community Memorial Hospital in Hamilton, NY, and Assistant Vice President for Development at Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, NY, playing a key role in securing major gifts and enhancing philanthropic strategies.
Balog also served as a consultant Chief Development Officer for Nashville General Hospital, leading fundraising initiatives and strengthening community partnerships. In early 2025, she joined the Adirondack Health Foundation as Executive Director, bringing her expertise to support healthcare excellence in the region. She holds an AAS in Radiation Therapy from Erie Community College, a BS in Healthcare Administration and Communications from Rochester Institute of Technology, and an MS in Healthcare Administration from Utica University. She also holds certifications as a CFRE, in Major Gift and Mid-Level Philanthropy, and as a Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy (CAP) from The American College of Financial Services.
Originally from Buffalo, NY, Balog now resides in Saranac Lake with her husband, John, they have three grown children, and a grandson. In the summer, she enjoys time at their camp on Raquette Lake.

Emily Moulton, CFRE
Annual Giving Coordinator
Emily joined the Adirondack Health Foundation staff in March of 2021. Before this, she served in a variety of librarianship roles at SUNY Adirondack and the Essex Free Library. Emily holds a Bachelor of Arts in Politics from SUNY Potsdam and a Master of Science in Library and Information Science from Syracuse University. Emily currently serves on the Education and Professional Development Council at Adirondack Health and is a Lake Placid Public Library trustee. She lives in Lake Placid with her husband, Jack.

Mary McLean
Special Events & Operations Coordinator
Mary joined the Adirondack Health Foundation staff in March of 2023. Before this, she served in a variety of positions at Paul Smith’s College for 25 years, including as Director of Special Events and Conferences and College Advancement and served for the prior 10 years as the Executive Director of the Tri-Lakes Chapter of the American Red Cross. Mary currently serves on the Employee Wellness Council at Adirondack Health and lives in Lake Clear with her husband, Dan.
